Comforter Set and Fur Blanket
First up we have this fluffy, squishy, lofty, and oh-so-soft comforter set. It is a neutral, solid-color basic that can be accessorized for any season. It even comes with loops at the corners so you can use it as a duvet. You can also layer these comforters for extra warmth in the winter and that extra-cozy appeal. What’s great about that is that you can still have your super fluffy comforter, but can fit them in your home washer. It has a linen look and the feel of a down comforter; not too heavy, not too light!
I’ve paired the comforter with this awesome fur blanket. It’s a queen size, but it fits from edge to edge on my king bed. I love everything about this blanket. I’ve purchased others that were a Sherpa fabric on the back- and that got rough after washing and collected every fur ball it came across. The velvet backing on this blanket is so luxurious that I don’t use a top sheet. The softness of both sides of this blanket is just heavenly. It’s also perfect for movie nights, cuddling up by the fireplace, and adding character and texture to your room. It’s also a fabulous gift!
Because the Queen blanket only goes from edge to edge of my mattress I grabbed this fluffy and ribbed fur blanket from Bedsure. It’s a king size, and its generous size covers my bed and drapes down the sides and end how I want it to. It comes in a bunch of colors, and I got it in the color natural. It’s really soft, and the texture really makes it pop.
Accent Pillow and Rustic Comforter Set
Moving on to the accent pillow! This pillow is from HiEnd accents and I bought it to go with this fabulous comforter set.
I won’t switch to that comforter until January when it’s really cold out. It’s heavy and super warm. But I love the accent pillow in all seasons and I love the brand. The quality and styling of their bedding is unmatched. The pillow is beautifully detailed with a suede-look fabric, a taupe-olive brushed canvas, and high quality gold colored buckle.
Cotton Cover Sleeping Pillows
The pillows on the bed are the most incredible pillows you will ever lay down on. They are animal-friendly goose down alternative- but they feel like the most incredible cloud you can imagine. I don’t know what I’ll do if this company ever stops making these. I’ve purchased them for my vacation rental as well and everyone loves them. The Bedsure comforter is also great for vacation rentals because it’s the perfect weight and you can wash it in your home washer.
Oak Desk
This amazing oak desk is a splurge for sure, but the quality is so good that it is sure to become a family heirloom. I would say they don’t make them like this anymore, but clearly they do. It’s 100% solid oak with no veneer and it perfectly complements a farmhouse of yesteryear style with its burnished walnut finish. Yet- for that touch of modern convenience it has a built in power strip with two regular outlets and two USB ports. One plug comes out of the back of the desk to power all 4 spots.
Home Furnishing Desk Lamp
The lamp sitting on top of the desk is from Amazon- yet it looks like a lamp from Pottery Barn that should be 3 times the price. It’s adjustable in two ways- you can control the length of the arm and also the tilt. It has a super steady base to keep it anchored no matter how you adjust it. It’s an engineering masterpiece as much as it is an artistic one. The on/off switch is on the cord, and I use these Philips E26 warm glow bulbs in mine.
Wood LED Table Lamp
I love the rustic look of this genuine wood table lamp, it’s generous size, (11″D x 11″W x 21.5″H) and the way it complements a farmhouse decor.
It takes an E26 bulb (included) but I used these dimmable Phillips warm glow bulbs instead, because they add that soft candlelit look that I love to dim in the evenings with this handy lamp dimmer.
To bring out the rustic look even more, I swapped out the white shades with these great burlap ones (13″ Top x 13″ Bottom x 10″ High)
I love the texture and added visual interest they provide!
Cedar Live Edge Accent
The lamps are sitting on these fabulous solid cedar live edge accent tables. I really feel like these tables elevated the room and gave it character. They are really nice quality, the perfect size (roughly 16x19x20.5 H) and no two are the same, providing a unique touch to any room. They are very sturdy and easy to put together.
Artificial Moving Flame Pillar Candles
No super-cozy fall retreat would be complete without candles- and if you’re coordinated-challenged like I am you’ll really appreciate these candles from Luminara. In my opinion they are the best flameless/battery candles on the market, and the best part is watching your friends try to blow them out. They seem a bit spendy, but they’re absolutely worth it. I’ve had some of these candles for over ten years and they still work as well as they did on day 1. These glass hurricane candle holders come in 3 sizes to conveniently fit the 3 sizes of Luminara candles- they’re like peas in a pod!
Raw-Silk Curtains
Finally for those lazy autumn mornings when the sun would stream lazily through your windows but you don’t want it to- check out these raw-silk looking curtains in the color rust! They are amazing and block out every bit of unwanted light. They are also heavy and very nice quality. The color should be called “fall leaves” because that’s the best way to describe them! They’re muted in color, but their slight shine catches the light beautifully and they really add that elegant final touch to a room. Grab them in this color plus some other colors too- because they can insulate AND block out heat in the summer.
